Julie D. Blake

Overview

Julie D. Blake joined Pastore in 2013. She is an experienced commercial litigator and data privacy expert. She brings extensive litigation experience to both data privacy breaches and prevention including sensible risk assessment and data privacy policy review.

Ms. Blake is well-versed in both U.S. Federal and State statutes regarding privacy as well as the European Union’s GDPR rules and regulations. Ms. Blake maintains a data privacy blog (bravenewworld.blog) and is an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Ms. Blake handles all data privacy litigation at both the state and federal level including monitoring of all significant data privacy rulings.

Prior to 2013, Ms. Blake worked at national and regional law firms and operated her own law office for five years. Her 20 years of experience in business, commercial, and intellectual property litigation, paired with a new focus on pragmatic data privacy law services, is a unique combination of skills and meets the needs of many clients as they navigate the digital age.

Ms. Blake earned a B.A. in History at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts where she was a McLaughlin Appellate Advocacy Competition winner. She will receive an LLM in 2021 from Drexel University School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Cybersecurity and Privacy Law and CIPP and CIPM certifications in 2022.
